Dan,

Do a search on your C: drive for "iomonitor" to see what folder it turns up in (I don't have it on my computer).

Also if you're running win98 you can use msconfig (which you will find in Windows/System) to choose which programs you don't want to start up automatically when you boot (choose "selective startup" and then choose the "startup" tab).

Sounds like you might have found the problem since the mouse is input and io (as in iomonitor) is probably for input/output.
