We have all pretty well settled on identifying and buying the Gorilla when it has entered the tornado.

Having been both corrected and supported myself in my own characterization of when it was that one "should" invest if one is playing the gorilla game, I think it is safe to say that there is a diversity of opinion or styles, ranging from those who are inclined to buy a gorilla only once truly established, though those who attempt to climb on mid-tornado to those who attempt to pick the future winner at the beginning of the tornado (or buy the basket). The former minimize risk, get better than market returns, but miss out on the dramatic gains of the tornado, while the later get greater rewards with greater risk. Were one a purist, one might say that picking a single future winner at the beginning of the tornado was not really gorilla game, but at the least we are all looking at these companies from the same perspective.
