Very strange situation indeed. The symptoms on the 56k connect sound like queuing, and you may have hit a server experiencing this with the 56k and picked up a different one with the ISDN. Possible ISP factors include differing providers or connections to different servers if the ISP is the same. This may be an excellent illustration of the value of multiple ISPs, too. As always, whatever works best... ~Paul
