The ease of use, particularly for the average user, is one reason why AOL has been able to grow faster than services like Prodigy. I also use AOL, partly because it permits several screen names on one account, reducing its effective cost per user. But I have also seen other services that are perfectly adequate for the needs of most users, who want mainly e-mail and web access. The apparent lack of interest in newer technology (compared with the emphasis on wired and cable TV access) reminds me of Henry Ford's Model T - any color as long as it's black.
