Update on Company activities:
April 25th, 1997
To our interested shareholders and market players:
Just an update following the attendence at the Investment In Mining Conference that was held last Thursday and Friday in Toronto, Canada. The show was well attended both by attendees and the numerous mining companies.
Almaden put out a news announcement a week or so ago that drilling had commenced on the Erika property in Mexico. The drilling will continue for a couple of weeks as they will drill about 10 holes on this program. During this drill period, Cabello Blanco, near Vera Cruz, will commence some trenching and surface work. The time frame for drilling on this property will be mid-May and going into June. During the drilling on the Cabello Blanco, drill results should be forthcoming from the Erika property.
With last week's announcement of the aquisition of the Yago property, a 74,000 acre claim block, drill permits will be applied for to have a drill program in this area following the drilling on Caballo Blanco. By the way, in the news announcement on the Yago property, it was mentioned that the project pit has the potential for a multimillion ounce gold deposit, mineable by open pit methods.
So looking at the broad picture over the coming months, Erika will be drilled April and early May. Followed by drilling on Caballo Blanco in May and June. Followed by drilling on Yago in July. AND then to the Munro Lake property in Canada where drilling was started last August and will be resumed this summer. Also, La Trinidad is continuing to be being mined by Eldorado.
Yes, there are a number of projects which will keep the company active right through the year. Almaden is presently a junior producer with a number of exploration projects that have significant potential to be gold deposits.
