Mr. Everett is responsible for worldwide development and marketing of all Dell desktop and notebook products, as well as the strategic technology direction for those award-winning client systems. Mr. Everett reports to the Office of the CEO.
Mr. Everett, 49, came to Dell in February 1998 after a 20-year career with Intel Corporation, one of Dell's strategic partners in the personal computer industry. Mr. Everett became an Intel vice president in 1989, overseeing North American sales and later all worldwide sales organizations. In 1994, he became senior vice president and general manager of Intel's successful Microprocessor Products Group and oversaw the rapid adoption of Intel's Pentium processor in the marketplace and introduced Intel's P6 technology, the foundation of Intel's product roadmap into the late 1990s.
Prior to joining Intel in 1978, Mr. Everett held marketing and customer support positions with Motorola Semiconductor Products Group.
Mr. Everett holds a bachelor of business administration degree from New Mexico State University. In 1992, he was named "Distinguished Alumni" and was inducted into NMSU's College of Business Hall of Fame in 1997. |
