Clearly, AMD intends to use Dresden to introduce and ramp-up Mustang cores. But on the other hand, AMD did lead us to believe that ramp-up would originally start in Q4 1999. Then it slipped to Q1, Q2, and now 2H of 2000. (I can't back it up, but I'm sure Paul Engel is willing to dig up the dirt.) Anyway, like I said before, I'm sure we'll find out more next week during the CC. Any thoughts? Tenchusatsu, yeah I have some thoughts....are you trying to take yousef's place? Q4,'99...I read back when they proposed the Dresden fab, that production was supposed to start in Q4,99 but then AMD announced that the date was delayed due to the change to .18 technology and copper....you must have missed that announcement. I never heard Q1...where did you see that? Could you provide the link? Thanks. What I heard Sanders say in the CC is that the absolute earliest any shipments could start was Q2 but that volume shipment would begin in the 2nd H, 2000. It seems to me you need to be worrying more about getting Intel's yields up so that Intel can satisfy its customers and meet their product needs. JMHO ted
