tensforme, here's a simple answer to your question. The G-I constellation will not be used for broadband. The G-II constellation could be very different, but it is still on the drawing board. G-I will support fax, messaging, gps , and data by summer time, but the transmission rate is limited to 9600 bps. This is approx. 4 times faster than Iridium, but it by no means broadband. Who knows if HDR could be implemented to GI, some say yes and others say no. No official plans have been announced yet for HDR on G*-I. Hope this helps. FreekBro
