Computer power gets cheaper every day and coincidentally though maybe not because of this, nobody but DELL and Intel are making significant money from selling computer power. Certainly not IBM with their main frames or SGI with its supercomputers. Nowadays band width is getting cheaper every day. Could there be a time when the rate of growth of fiber transmission lines slows? At that time won't JDSU, a conspicuous king today, be just an ordinary stock? Actually, selling capital goods that last decades doesn't sound like a gorgeous business. Right in front of us is a 100% per year growth rate in a world starved for band width but later this has to end. I'm just wondering how much later is "later"? Does anybody have some ideas about this?
