nice bird dogging, racer. Now if only
someone with technical grasp could translate the import of these patents as a competitive edge, as has been done on a projection basis for CREE. I suppose it's a bit early for that, though, given all the movers in the space, the absence of product for which consumers could show preference, and of course the lack of profit or even more basic financial data associated with sales. PANL maybe one to take a flier on if/after a tech blowoff?

I read the G&K threads when I can, with great interest, but I have no technical knowledge and too little time to contribute much at this point. PANL strikes me as way too early in the product cycle to be more than a speculation. It has just the sort of gonna-be-great promise that has induced me to take a flier in the past, most often to my regret. Like all other seductive stories, it offers hope that "it'll be different this time."

But CREE I like now. Unlike true GG investors (I'm partly through that book, piece at a time, as work and kids allow), I have this thing about buying stuff on sale. I need, if not a blowoff, at least a downdraft, and I missed the one just passed. Maybe I'll get over it after I read more, or see more of my tracking stocks soar without me as I waited for the 10% lower entry that never came.
