I recently posted a Matt Simmons article here and on the RIG board. In the article Simmons characterizes the OS stock cycle a having three distinct phases during it's up phase.

1. Snap back from the bear phase.
2. Lull period when earning have to catch up.
3. Run phase when earnings become more visible.

Based on the recent price action in crude, the markets reaction to BJS, and RDC's earnings, the lull period is drawing to a close and has, in fact ended for select OS stocks, many of which have been highlighted on the board.

I have waited a year for this very moment, this is the part of the cycle the investor MUST be in - period. Leave the patch for tech stocks now? No No No, a thousand times No. This is it. This is what we have all waited for. Payday is here.

I'm starting to warm to the E&P's as well, as there are many many long term double bottoms being formed up in the smaller players.
