No reason I could think of. BI should prompt you when
you receive every scan/attack to permanently block those
offending IPs instead of having to manually do it every
time you get one.

BTW, I threw up a pic of my ClearICE table. Note how it also
reports the port which gets attacked in addition to the type
of scan or trojan attempt.
