Nobody with a brain thinks there is no inflation. Only people long stocks, or looking to sell stock to the public. IE- all of wall street.

Kis the enterprise software area of technology (which includes all the b2b internets, and some gorillas like Oracle) has moved to an imported foreign workforce for about 80% of the non-management positions and this is *keeping salaries down* no doubt about it. Only management gets significant stock options so the non-inflation effect here is real. We just hired some people at salaries that were lower than we could get people for 4 years ago, in this super hot tech area.

I know you know this and you aren't factoring it into your discussion. Real estate in California is a red herring thanks to some artificial situations created by prop 13 and other laws.
