Aside from the fundamental albeit unexploited potential of this play, their seems to be a recent interest in bottom fishing companies in Epic's position. I've seen a few of my kennel residents jump recently. The resurgence of the CDNX has given many a struggling company and thus their long-suffering shareholders one more shot.
The granting of options at this stage, as has been mentioned, bodes well.
