In the LA Times on Friday there was a front page article about how the new generation of college students are hooked on high speed internet access. It has become not only a selling point for dorms that have spent millions to wire their rooms, but a life style for the students.

When the kids go home for vacations they...
"go through ethernet withdrawl..."
Today's students "scoff" at the ordinary internet access most Americans know.

"We have this one generation where the parents have no clue and the kids know nothing else. It's the biggest technological generation gap in history."

This generational shift is going to go into high speed once HDR is rolled out in its full, commercial form. Qualcomm seems to be in the sweet spot for more than one paradigm shift.
