Brian, Windows 2000 is not really intended as a replacement for Windows 95 or 98. Microsoft said the replacement for those "home" OSs, Millennium, will be out later this year. It is true that for a long time, W2K, or NT 5.0, as it used to be called, was supposed to replace both 98 and NT 4.0. MSFT changed their mind.
