Not much news about it??

But here is a news relase from last year.

Intelligent Systems Launches Internet Incubator

Unique Business Incubator to Support Fledgling Internet Companies

Norcross, GA ? January 18, 1999 ? Intelligent Systems Corporation [AMEX: INS] announced today Georgia?s first small business incubator program specifically for early stage internet companies.

The Internet Incubator leverages the success and resources of Intelligent Systems? Shared Resource Technology Center, a small business incubator for technology companies since 1990. The new Internet Incubator is housed in a dedicated area of the SRTC with full access to a comprehensive array of infrastructure support, business expertise and financial capital.

Incubator Frees Entrepreneur to Focus on Key Business Issues

Entrepreneurs building an internet-based company can focus full-time on product and business development because the incubator staff takes care of the day-to-day hassles involved in starting a business. For instance, network and communication specialists on staff at the incubator can install customized voice, data and direct internet communications virtually overnight. The facility has an on-site telecom switch and multiple, fiber-optic full T1 lines, including a direct link to a national first-tier Internet service provider. In addition, the incubator provides on-site web-hosting and email. Incubator companies take advantage of the amenities and image enhancements usually reserved for larger companies, including conference rooms, a training room and presentation equipment, but without the expense and facility headaches.

"Infrastructure support is just the foundation for the peer-to-peer interaction and access to experienced business people and capital that fuels these high-energy companies," says Bonnie Herron, Director of the incubator. "There?s tremendous value to an entrepreneur when she or he can walk down the hall to ask for advice or a business plan review."

Incubator Provides Access to Experienced Entrepreneurs and Capital

Intelligent Systems senior executives, including CEO Leland Strange and VP Bill Goodhew, both Georgia Technology Hall of Fame members and successful entrepreneurs, are resident experts at the incubator. They meet for one-on-one sessions with entrepreneurs to review business plans and strategy and to consider investment opportunities.

According to Strange, "Unlike most incubators, we are privately funded and can invest in companies in our incubator. Of course, we don?t limit our investments to incubator companies and are happy to consider other entrepreneur?s dreams as well. I?m excited about our dedicated internet incubator ? it shows our enthusiasm for supporting Atlanta?s growing internet community."

Incubator Success Benefits Atlanta Community

Small business incubators benefit not only the incubator companies but also the larger community. For instance, the Shared Resource Technology Center has spun off some fifteen companies, employing almost 600 people. In addition, another sixteen companies are presently in the SRTC incubator with employment topping 225. In total, current and former incubator companies occupy approximately 375,000 square feet of real estate, mostly in Gwinnett County. The new Internet Incubator is expected to create even more successful companies with a positive impact on the community.

The Internet Incubator program and the Shared Resource Technology Center are developed and supported by Intelligent Systems Corporation. The Internet Incubator and Shared Resource Technology Center are located in the northeast high tech corridor in Norcross with quick access to I-85. ISC is a publicly traded company [AMEX: INS] with investments and operations in the health care and technology area. To find out more about the company, visit our website at www.intelsys.com.
