Now would you please just answer the questions.

Was Peter Stein interviewed by several reporters? or was he interviewed by only one and repeatedly quoted by other reporters??

Answered in last post.

Wasn't the letter from SJ's parents addressed to the "mother of the killer"???

Yes, but as I've already said, the Jovins weren't shy about saying the letter (which was dated 4/8/98) was aimed at Jim's mother.

Since we are assuming that SJ could have gone back to apt via the campus and not Elm Street and since PS was the last person to have spoken with SJ, what other proof is there that he is not the one??

In order for Peter Stein to have done it, we need to a) prove the person we call Xeyes who saw Suzanne on College Street was lying or mistaken, or, barring that, that Suzanne turned around and walked back the way she came, b) assume Peter either didn't talk to Suzanne prior to dropping off the keys but afterward, or hung around waiting for her to retrace her steps, c) conveniently had a car waiting somewhere close and was able to convince Suzanne to get into it, e) enticed Suzanne back into his room while he called his mother, or made her wait in the car (or at this point enticed her into his car), f) had a reason to kill her or time enough to get mad enough to kill her, and g) would volunteer to tell the press and/or police he may have been the last person to see her alive. All of this assumes Peter doesn't also have an alibi for still being somewhere else at the time of the murder.

I don't think I'm being unreasonable to say the odds of all these events transpiring is very very very remote.

How close was SJ's relationship with PS?? Casual friends? or good buddies?

I think they were just friends, as opposed to "good" friends, but I'm not sure.

If casual friends, I don't find her comments to him about being tired and wanting sleep to be anything more than polite conversation. Do you give intimate details of everything you are about to do to everyone you encounter along the way? I don't.

True.

Did PS have a car? What kind? Did PS have a crush on SJ?
Did SJ know this and was keeping him at arms length?

No idea. Sorry. Somehow I'd think any such relationship would have been revealed by now. Even if true, that possibility is included in the above scenario.

Did I answer everything?
