I don't usually go onto discussion boards to say bad things about a company or it's products, but in the case of Micron, I've got no where else to go with this.

In 1999, my mother-in-law purchased a Micron Millenia PC. There is no end to the things that won't go right with it. Virtually every single time she uses the PC something goes wrong (and she usually uses the Netscape browser or the AOL client). I thought at first she was just exagerating and was just generally frustrated. I've learned that that's not been the case.

First, it came with a Winmodem which was not ordered. After that was cleared up with Sales it was handed off to another department Micron wasn't heard from again. Contacting them several times, I've yet to get anything resolved. Comparing Micron to dealings with other PC companies over the past 10 years, they are *deffinitely alone in the 'Ooops, wrong choice' group.

I've had to re-install the operating system (twice now) without help from Micron. AOL and the printer and Netscape conflict with regularity. Their integrated sound card which was sold with the upggraded Advent speaker (no PCI slot available?) is complete trash, I would never recommend that anyone buy a Micron PC, and in fact would like to specifically warn anyone thinking about it currently to ask themselves how many other Micron customers like my mother-in-law have gone to just not using their PCs at all because of issues directly related to Micron product and service quality.

Without a doubt, this PC *sucks*.
