When talking of politics and those that play it, one has to expect the game to be political. It would be foolish to think that all of the motivation was to be fighting for Newfoundland. Sure Tobin has some political gains to be had. I wouldn't be surprised to see this being a platform in the next campaign too.

I think your compairson is fair. The only thing Newfoundland is being offered from Voisey is a few jobs and royalties. The bottom line?... that is just not enough for Newfoundlanders when the largest find in the world is to be scooped from Newfoundland's turf. It must be the means to moving Newfoundland up a substantial notch. That is why the deal is not done yet. In business the $ is what is being fought for and it is that same $ that will bring the parties to a deal. In Time. Cheers
