I have met people (usually in the wee hours, when things get nuttier) on the Town Hall chat (cosponsored by National Review and Heritage) who insist that most of history is a fabrication, and that some dirtball who writes pamphlets that are not even plausible, much less scholarly, has the straight dope on the true origins of the race, the Republic, the UN, and so forth. If one ventures to disagree,it is because one is a fool and a sheep who believes in conventional scholarship and follows false conservatives......
