OT - Snake - I attempted to post to LG to address the problem in a PM but he turned his PM feature off and I was just going to let it go but since I have been asked many times abot this in PMs and now see it being addressed to others I will post "MY view".
Basically LG started this thread by invitation. He PMed myself, Don and many of the others to start what was a great idea and gather the knowledge and varying styles to one thread from around SI. However, over time, friction developed which is a long story in itself with a lot going on behind the scenes that you won't see here on the board. I know I tried to ignore most of it and I still don't know everything that went on in other people's situations but I do know what happened in my case. I just finally met my limit.
A while back there were plans to build a website from the expertise of this board, one attempt was made and then when the site was too hard to work with, it was disbanded with the understanding another one would start up later. In the meantime, I kept mine going and put out an invitation for Don to join me and make it a dual project. All I can do is guess that this hurt some feelings since we chose to only add one link at a time rather than trying to put together a bunch of pieces at once. What I do know, is someone pointed a finger to SI Bob regarding posts I made linking back to my site. I fully understand SI's position on this even though everyone knows my site poses no threat...yet <ggg>, all competition starts small and they run a business. No gripes there. What I did have a gripe with was
1. Figuring out who might have first pointed the finger, 2. watching the posts and PMs to see who supported my post and the abcense of only one person who did not respond
3. That it was his thread and invitation to join the thread.
Therefore I obviously am no longer welcome here and am removing myself.
I will continue to lurk and frequent other threads on occassion but when it comes to market direction, I will post my thoughts on our Swing Trader's site. At least there, it is clearly stated and understood we are looking ONLY at short term trends and have total control over the board. Here, many confused our short term outlooks with longer term trends and we took some heat that over time bacame annoying as we had to continually repeat that we were short term in nature. Antagonizers can be removed immediataly at the other site and as time goes by and suggestions for improvements are made and added, it may turn into something big enough to help us all.
I can't speak for Don but he has decided to grace the site with his knowledge and hang his guitar there, a few of the regulars from here have visited and LG I am sure is lurking there and has decided to start posting on his "Gut feel" thread rather than come back here as I am sure the wonderful posters here that chose to stick their necks out in support of myself and Don by linking to our site had to raise LG's blood pressure off the scale that night. I now my wife and I were rolling on the floor laughing in front of the screen here.
Last I don't want this post to look like I am trying to back door LG. As I said, it was he that first started this thread and was able to congregate the talent that was here in the first place. However it became pretty obvious and made me 99.9% sure it was he that PMed SI Bob complaining of my link after a few discussions with various people. When I first posted at my site that Don was considering posting there, I sensed the friction building here between LG and myself, then the day Don showed up, suddenly the first time that I linked to my site like I had so many times before got me a slap on the wrist. Discussions went on behind the scenes and it was made clear that the only way SI became involved was because someone had pointed the finger that night. Wathcing who came ot my aid and the one person that did not made it pretty clear that I was no longer wanted here.
If I am wrong, I apologize in advance but I doubt I am wrong in this respect. As I said, it was his board and so I leave willingly and would prefer to concentrate on improving our private Site in an attempt to make it a one stop shop for traders. I have some ideas, I just have to figure out how to make them real next. I am open to all ideas regarding improvemnts and can be reached either through the e-mail link in my profile, the Bulletin board, or guest book on our site. The link to the site has been posted here a few times the last few days <ggg> and is in my profile. It is also in my posts on other threads and has only been erased from the posts I made on this site adding to the obvious narrowing of suspects although after pointing this out, I am sure another PM to SI Bob asking my other posts to be erased as well will soon be on it's way. <ng>
