Indeed... I am so tired of people seeing inflation under every rock, in 1999 the inflation rate was the same or lower than 1965. Inflation is dead, period. I know NO companies (apart from monopolies) that can raise prices. I know almost nobody getting over 2-2.5% in raises, unless it is stock options... I SEE people doing very well as IT (and other) contractors with their small businesses, put they are saving on taxes (by paying themselves low salaries).. I see people (those w/o IT skills primarily) falling behind in some cases, depressing average incomes. I see no inflation. The price of OIL has DOUBLED this year, and where is inflation... in the 2.5% range ? WOW ! But nobody says this, the fearmongers are everywhere... AS well, the REAL RATE of RETURN (Interest rates - inflation) is among the highest in living history... JMHO Take care Jean
