Damn right he likes Excite. If he didn't, Hindrey might still be working at T. I posed the question, does anyone know what Ma Bell earned off the Yellow Pages a few days ago. I don't recall exact numbers but I read the figures once and it was good dough. A portal is a superset of the Yellow Pages. Mike knows it. He is no dummy.

A broadband portal has the potential to be the superset of broadcast TV. MSO/T need to seize that opportunity and lift steaming restrictions. That will require less aggressive engineering of the network. MSFT is a much better choice as partner/owner than YHOO but the Feds would probably not allow it. YHOO's content stinks compared to MSFT's properties.

Incidentally, I quit Qwest's dial up ISP service for T/Worldnet. At $14.95 it is a bargain compared to Qwest or AOL. (Much faster) Excite/T is the default home page at startup. Anyone no how many Worldnet customers there are and how many use the Excite home page? Seems like a metric worth tracking.
