>>I prease God for them.<<
You mean praise(?) God for them?
steve, I'm not disbelieving -- I believe God can gift anybody with any kind of supernatural gift that He wants too. Somtimes I worry that my own lack or quality of faith may be preventing Him from working more mightily in the lives of those around me, but I've seen him provide great oppty's some which I've taken advantage of, some not.
What did you say in one of your previous posts about (I'm paraphrasing here) if it's doesn't have the fruit of love it's not of God. I agree as it seems to me that any gift given to us, supernatural or other (if there is such as other), is given to increase love, faith and hope in the hearts of those around us, especially love.
Some of the Corinthians had gifts which they were abusing and not using for God's greater glory, right. It's possible to misuse what we've been given. I know that I'm imperfect and Jesus is perfect (for me). I lack knowledge in many areas, but hopefully I'm learning and such a scripture does not apply to me specifically. Surely this is an encouragement to study and seek experiential knowledge of our Lord and Savior -- no matter how much either of us knows there is always room to learn more (while we live here) as the love and knowledge of Jesus is without extent, but goes on forever in all directions.
However, faith will become sight -- then we shall know Him just as He is and we shall be like Him. There is no greater hope than this.
Thanks for you response.
