Brad, pilot trial results taking forever it seems....

but FDA is much more demanding now -- they want clinical endpoints which means it is necessary to wait for these
results well after surgery -- the actual operations on the patients enrolled for REPEL-CV has been over for a while.

I am beginning to believe that HA based materials (like Lifecore's) are
never going to cut the mustard. I think that boils it down to CHAI and GLIA. GLIA has a challenge with wet sugical sites (abdominal/cardio ect.) -- their product recquires a carrier and I believe it is only produced in a viscous gel-like form. REPEL can be made in solid or semi solid form.
It is interesting to note that two viscous types --SepraCoat and Intergel got snagged by FDA --
perhaps the it is because of new more stringent FDA requirements or maybe it is because the viscous form in abdominal/pelvic applications for all the convenience, just isn't that effective.
I think we will see in time that Chai has the best material base.
