I believe that AOL was expecting about a 33-35% drop in stock price based on comments I believe made by an analyst at CNBC. If I remember correctly price of common was 72 brings us down to 48. Despite the recovery from its dismal performance for part of last year I think that Abelson's short term number of 40 is very believable especially if there is a real market correction. Old rule of thumb never short internet stocks. Probably still a rule to respect in your investing discipline. I would be careful you never know what is lurking around the corner with these "Red Hots".
