Maybe they just want to get the earnings "out of the way." With 3rd quarter carryover, reduced expectations, and starting off the quarter with First Union, earnings shouldn't be a problem. Actually, at this stage, Revenues are more important anyway. I'm betting that they have news that couldn't be released under last quarter's cloud is removed. First Earnings/Revs, Then the real news?????
