Frank: Right now I am holding a long position and daytrading msft with a second buyin and I will hold my long, watching closely next Tues, after hours, if earnings are OK I'll keep holding, if msft starts downticking I'll sell that position afterhours. As for July, I always buy in, if I'm not already in, about 6 weeks, or so, prior to the July earnings for the earnings run & summer rally. As for picking bottoms, that is not a exact art, but in general if you can catch msft down 25% - 30% off the yearly high, take a long position trade. As for between now & then, well, that depends on news, for instance the DOJ thing.
