Bill, You persist on misrepresenting the facts. There was no SPD film 35 years ago. There were no licensees up until the 1990s (I believe the first was 1989). No licensee announced intent to commercialize until 1997. I bought 600 shares in 1992 and was NOT EVER under any misconception that products were "around the corner." In fact they still had haze in the film at that time and there was the risk that it would never be commercialized. As far as Gentex goes, I agree with you that this was a stellar investment but they have been unable to parlay it into a larger market for windows or commercial vehicle mirrors. SPD was just adopted by the world's largest manufacturer of commercial vehicle mirrors because electrochromic technology will not work efficiently on large areas. I don't have concerns about products. The updates from the company and shareholder calls to licensee make me very comfortable with adding to my investment at this time. Xerox technology took 35 years to develop and shareholders made a fortune on that. I think SPD technology will have as great if not a bigger impact. Even the worst case scenario means I triple my money --- best case too unbelievable to even discuss. ND
