Bob : Many articles in this morning's paper. Harmony has, of course, won.

Randfontein is a very good mine which Mr K inherited when he took over JCI and then exsanguinated in order to finance his ventures.

Mr K's empire is really a house of cards, propped up by deals between all the companies and riddled with debt. Ironically, the saving grace for the empire may be the R12-25 which Harmony will pay for each Randfontein share.

Hidden in the mess there is also fraud. Randfontein has paid double fees to both JCI and DRD R150m for same administration. Consequently, and apart from share dealing, manipulation and insider-trading, I would not be surprised if Mr K spends some time in the cooler. Undoubtedly, his co-directors will distance themselves from him and blame him for everything.
