Over half of those over 40 wears "glasses" and are nearsighted. No one in this group would willingly have an operation for farsightedness. They must wear now bifocals only to have to wear a stronger prescription for nearsightedness after the operation. And that's what this type of operation would require. A stronger prescription and they would still require bifocals because the underlying problem was not addressed. Weaker focusing muscles and a stiffer lens is the cause of far sightedness of those over 40 and the operation does not correct these problems.

2. Of the rest that is over 40 most see reasonably well at a distance. Hence, any correction for far sightedness would now require them to wear glasses to see at a distance, however they would not require reading glasses. What percentage would opt for the operation. Low-Low-Low.

3. The only solution would be a binocular arrangement for the small percentage that would choose the operation. One eye nearsighted and the other farsighted. What an arrangement. Lawsuits, here we come.

4. Into this smokey den of a market strides a giant of the industry SNRS with a laser labeled "For temporary correction of farsightedness".

What a bad joke. ZY
