Couldn't Qualcomm use their super-duper encryption technology, combined with some of their Condor cunning to make it that the data could only be decrypted by their black box installed at the movie theatre?

Then the showing of the movie could be controlled totally by the sending person.

I'd understood this was a [the] major selling feature of the Cinecomm system = the ability to stop the $$billions in illegal use of movies which is happening now.

The quality of the movie was at least as good and this control of copyright made it hugely advantageous.
