TriKinetic's price for this package is $1999 plus shipping. I know the Appian cards cost more than $200 but the Duet is not a current card and it's only 2MB/port. You can get a nice G400 for about $160 if you want to use NT or a couple of single cards if you're satisfied with win98.

There is definitely something to say for a warranty and free tech support but I think you would get a much better value with Dell or Gateway or whoever.

Their claim that the system runs faster because it integrates sound and NIC on the mainboard is a bit ridiculous and definitely geared toward the tech-naif.

Since they don't include the monitors on the list I assume they're not included with the package. It would make a lot more sense if the monitors were included (say a pair of 17's).

The equivalent Dell system which would include 1yr on-site next business day service PLUS 2yr limited warranty beyond that; a 56K modem; Microsoft Works Suite; McAfee VirusScan will cost you $956!

The only thing you'd have to add is a second vid card ($100).
