THQI has had a LARGE short interest.. since I can remember (3 years?). viwes.com All those shorts in July are losing money and the millions from 1 year ago are losing more? Even when the stock was going up, the short was large. It doesn't seem to move much either way? The only thing I can think of is that people are hedging their positions? But I don't know enough about their stock options or any other financial elements to say. It doesn't make since. You would think that anyone short would cover prior to the holiday season, but they don't? Like the CEO said, business has been great and every indication says this year will be huge. It's not just THQI, but all the reviews about their wrestling games and some others. I emailed IR asking but I'll need to call. Perhaps they can shed some light on the oddity.
