Yours is an increasingly common sentiment. While I wouldn't go as far as saying Corel walks away with the best Linux disto. They don't; at least not yet. They have a potential of tuning Debian 'Potato' into some major pile of desktop Linux fries before April. As a Debian fan, I actually look forward to this next Corel Linux and the *timing of this next Corel Linux to make some big noise.

In the meantime, I'd suggest Caldera OpenLinux 2.3 as the desktop distro of choice. Choice is what this desktop stuff is all about. I need to repartition. When I do, I'm going 1/3 Corel/deb 1/3 Caldera/rpm and 1/3 Solaris OE 8. I think that'll be all the choice I need.
