REDWOOD CITY, Calif. and MUNICH, Germany, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Siemens Information and Communication Networks Group and Phone.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: PHCM - news) announced that Siemens has awarded ``commercial availability status' to the Phone.com UP.Link(TM) Server Suite R4, signifying the world-wide availability of Phone.com's WAP solution for immediate commercial deployment at over ten mobile operators in Europe and Asia including operators in Germany, Spain, Norway, Belgium and Hong Kong. With network operators as its focus customers, Siemens to date has entered into relationships with 20 GSM network operators in Asia and Europe to implement Phone.com's WAP solution for trial and/or commercial operation.

This status is earned only by software that Siemens' rigorous quality processes deem to be ready for commercial deployment in mobile networks. Siemens is ready to provide logistics management, installation support, customer training and 24 hours X 7 days customer support for Phone.com's UP.Link Server Suite R4 to enable network operators to bring WAP services to market quickly.
