That is an interesting article. The problem with bad gas in a plane is insidious. There's a good chance you might get airborne, and at about 100 to 400 feet above the ground start sputtering, and the old line about flying takes over:
"hours and hours of boredom, punctuated by a few moments of stark raving terror."

There are old pilots, and there are bold pilots, but there are no old, bold, pilots.

Really smart to ground the civilian fleet while they work out a solution. There is no room for error.
