Bizfon in Bell Canada pact
Bisfon Inc., a three-year-old Salem, N.H., company that makes inexpensive office voice mail and call-routing systems for small businesses, said it signed an exclusive contract with Bell Canada to sell its product through-out Canada. Terms were not disclosed. Bell Canada will market the Bizfon 680 product through its own sales force, contractors and retail stores, packaged with business calling services. The Bizfon 680 device includes and automated voice attendant, five-party teleconferencing, call forwarding and several other features. Prices start at $1,500 for a base system that the company said is comparable to other systems costing $5,000 to $20,000. Bizfon see a large market among what it called the 90 percent of small businesses that do not own their own phone systems. (Peter J. Howe)
