Just a small thanks, FMK, for those hours that you have spent and then having shared your results on this thread. I did a patent search on the web for VLNC, ULBI and lithium batteries. I found 27 patents in the last two years for VLNC and 1 for ULBI and that one was for a smoke alarm related battery. I saw a lithium polymer type patent for Motorola, one for a government lab, one for the power utility Hydro Quebec in Montreal, and several others. They were just the synopsis of the patents. I came away with an awe at just how involved making these batteries is. Valence is definitely at the forefront of this technology. Also, I like the jockies.
