Lindy, I agree with you. In fact, right now my goal is to get to $2 million. Using the strategy you and others describe I think that kind of money can work for you for a very long time. Most of us are, as you say, from modest backgrounds and our kids are growing up quickly. If you caqshed in $1 million to back you up for 10 years you would actually get much more. Even at 5% interest you are going to accrue significant interest. In the meantime the $1 million left should again double over the ensuing 10 nyears giving the opportunity to do it again. Now, if we could figuren out how to live long enough to enjoy it all.... Len
