Jim,

Wondering how your TA history stacks up with 'double witching' weeks such as this one. I tend to view these weeks, particularly options expiry weeks as typically negative to most stocks unless there is news to drive them.

I have often read so many people state that stocks with large floats are immune to 'manipulation'. But I see it time and time again with options expiry. You look at the largest open interest strike price and in invariably the price will close below this strike price, and then promptly the next week the stock will move positively. With earnings coming for Qcom next tues., it should act as a major catalyst for a positive move. Of course assuming that earnings are strong.

Although I do agree that the trading pattern in the stock lately has been quite bearish. But just as you would not have wanted to have been a buyer at $800. it certainly does not make sense to me to be a seller at these prices.
