Drake, In the meantime ETEK and JDSU have an arrangement: paragraph biz.yahoo.com "In addition to the merger, the companies also announced the signing of a mutual supply agreement in order to immediately increase the supply of certain of the companies' products to customers." As a result of the merger, JDSU gets capacity (etek was going to open a big plant in China) and ETEK gets the latest technology (JDSU's strength). In addition, another acquisition (deal not closed yet) gets additional demand for that "division". win/win deal, imho.
