IOMG NEC deal

NEC Technologies To Include Iomega Zip Drive In Retail And
Commercial PC Lines

ROY, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 12, 1996--Iomega Corp. (NASDAQ:IOMG) and NEC Technologies Inc.
Wednesday announced plans to include internal models of Iomega's award winning Zip drive in selected future models
of the NEC Ready(TM) consumer and PowerMate Pro(TM) commercial PCs beginning in the third quarter of 1996.

NEC also plans to include Iomega's Zip tools software on the majority of its Ready models which do not come with an
internal Zip drive, making external Zip drive installation fast and easy on any of those PCs.

"Because we consider Iomega to be the emerging standard in removable storage, it was easy for us to work together
with Iomega to meet the future storage needs of our consumer and corporate customers," said Murali Dharan, vice
president of desktop systems at NEC Technologies. "Our customers, whether in the office or at home, are demanding
more storage. Zip is simply the best solution."

Iomega's 100MB Zip disks provide 70 times the capacity of today's floppy disks, giving consumers unlimited capacity,
increased flexibility, and a built-in back-up system. Iomega Zip tools provide advanced data management utilities,
making it easy for consumers to manage, share and save their information.

"NEC is a driving force in both the retail and commercial PC markets," said Timothy L. Hill, vice president of
worldwide marketing at Iomega. "By offering Zip in both markets, NEC is recognizing not only the need to replace the
traditional floppy, but that Zip is the best replacement."
