TA is not as reliable during options expiry weeks
last I saw, QCOM puts outnumbered calls in the 140-170 range
any updated data on open interest would be valuable to see
my experience is that the most recent mini-trend seen with a stock, that trend seems to see piled on options expecting contined moves in that direction... that mini-trend gets reversed as expiration approaches... if indeed, puts are outnumbering calls, then we might just see the puts largely going worthless
the old principle holds: screw the latest mini-trend
my guess is the active mini-trend has expected downside moves
if MM's want to screw the put holders, then we rally very soon

sorry to all for my short fuse... some background shared privately, that I will share here... I got the shit kicked out of me all thru youth, from dad, at times older brother (normal stuff really), neighbor bullies, many school teachers in grade school and high school... my size was not intimidating... I learned to counter-punch, now stay in great shape in case I need to knock some assailant on his ass... even college days accomplished little in providing peace of mind... we rioted in 1970 in Ohio over Cambodian illegal wars... of course, I was in the middle of it all... my favorite moment was watching as a busload of Ohio State Police was overturned... the cops exited panicky, just before we students lit the bus on fire... Kent State was a picnic interrupted by National Guard gunfire... Ohio State was a real exciting fullblown riot, complete with tear gas, pepper gas, occupation forces, curfews, spotlights, diversionary fires, and 7 people dead... that was a riot

with detective work performed on JC, I can only conclude some gumshoe aspires to have me kicked off SI... keep it up, and someday I might be gone... reminds me of little people in the old American West aspiring to take down a faster gun
I prefer to get along... a few have ruined my focus
maybe I should just keep my analysis to myself?
