Jeff: They are NOT the same thing at all. IMO, the Autopsy Report and Toxicology results (if any), can and will be immensely helpful. In most states, those reports ARE public information, and a copy is available (for nominal copying charges} from the Medical Examiner's Office.

Please attempt ASAP to obtain them; or, if "Mr. Un-shy" :) doesn't feel comfortable requesting it yourself, ask someone you know who is studying Criminology in college.
