For what it is worth, most of the specialty mutual funds dedicated to precious and or strategic metals (ie: Altamira, Green Line, Dynamic, etc.) have been pasted over the last 30 days. Bre-X holdings accounted for much of the obvious impact, but so does the consequent market meltdown which continues. The point is, in this case, funds woudn't have afforded much protection.

And yes, it hurts below $4.00/BAN.
