RICHMOND HILL, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 18, 2000--Syndesis Limited, the industry leader in service creation
and activation software for the new public network, today announced that NorthPoint Communications (NASDAQ:NPNT -
news), a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) and a leading national broadband service provider, will adopt Syndesis'
NetProvision(TM) Architecture as the foundation for deploying flexible, fast, and consistent service creation and activation for
DSL subscribers.
NorthPoint Communications has made low cost, high-speed Internet access a reality by working to pioneer digital subscriber
line (DSL) technology. The company has leveraged its early-mover advantage to become a leading national facilities-based
provider of high-speed, Internet access service over existing phone lines using DSL.
NorthPoint serves 33 markets spanning 62 metropolitan statistical areas, and has alliances with over 200 local, regional and
