Programmer's Paradise Announces Internet Appointment
SHREWSBURY, NJ--(BUSINESS WIRE)--January 18, 2000--Programmer's Paradise®, Inc. (Nasdaq: PROG - news) has appointed Alexander Alarid as Vice President of Internet Operations and Marketing. Mr. Alarid has been a leader in implementing e-commerce applications and Internet technologies for the past ten years. Most recently, he directed an in-house e-commerce team at Blackberry Technologies Inc., known for developing enterprise level applications for the financial services giant Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (NYSE: DLJ - news). Mr. Alarid was a pioneer in implementing emerging technologies at Young & Rubicam and was influential in assisting their clients develop an Internet presence. He was also the architect and deployment coordinator of website projects for such companies as Jupiter Communications (Nasdaq: JPTR - news), Snickelways Interactive, and U.S. Web/CKS Cornerstone (Nasdaq: USWB - news), including the well-known site, VitaminShoppe.com.
