RE>>It's not like we could just mail a check to Heaven.<<

As always Hawk-eye God is in need of nothing...

He is Blessed ( that includes happy ) Eternally ( without end )

When God expresses anger toward man and judges even entire nations it is for the GOOD of the Elect and the eternal work that He is doing ( Getting a bride for His Son Jesus - that is us )

Psalms 50:12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

Read Psalm 50... God needs no house..God needs no food..

God is indignant with any of us who would think we do God a favour by giving to Him.

Romans 11:35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

When we give our tithe it is a small 10% portion of what GOD HAS GIVEN US !!!

It is to give thanks... but does God need it??

No it is for the work of the church and for the benefit of mankind.

A missionary can not walk from the USA to CHINA he will NEED air fare.. that is not greed that is simple need!

Should pastors have to beg by passing a plate??

We do not pass a plate at our church we leave a collection plate or box at the back and each man is expected to be responsible before the Lord to give thanks and help the church with tithes and offerings. ( Offerings need not go to the church )

We are first accountable to give but then we are also accountable to give to the most "pure" and "pleasing" church we can find. We should also go to the most pure church we can find.

If we support a church that is less pure than another we know of we weaken the work of the Church.

God ordained for there to be "churches"

Many churches are in very bad shape in this day as America is very backslidden at this point in history.

Nearly every store and business is now open on Sundays and many "churches" have become entertainment centers rather than places of learning God's Word , prayer and rejoicing.

After we have done our best to find the most pure church and taken care to tithe our 10% then what happens to it from there is not our responsibility unless we know they are being foolish or very sinful with it but that goes back to the "pruity" thing again.

The average Christian stands responsible to tithe but the Rulers of the Churches stand accountable for how it is spent a much wieghtier matter.

I think we need to be careful to make sure though we are giving to charities or foster children to give to our LOCAL CHURCH... if we don't then we weaken the work.

God ordained for men to be saved in simple ways but God also ordained corporate worship..

We are a body... we are to seek unity and strength in that unity... a local church is a glorious pleasure though we have all suffer "incidents" we are never to give up on the church.

I am very happy to hear that you Love God's Commandments..

They are a blessing to us and a light for our feet.

Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.

If you study the Ten Commandments they are LOVE...

If you love your neighbour you shalt not steal..kill..etc.

Romans 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

God's Love is not just emotion it is Lawful Actions toward even our Enemies though we may be utterly disgusted with the ungodly man who hates our Lord.

Later.. God Bless.
